⚡ In short – how it helps
NTAK has two separate obligations: registration and daily reporting. Almost every hospitality venue must register, but daily reporting depends on the previous closed year's net hospitality revenue. This check is a suggestion only, not an official ruling – confirm with your accountant or the official NTAK site.
Who needs NTAK? – check
Above 12M HUF you must report daily via NTAK-compatible POS software. Missing it can mean a fine. OneMin does this automatically.
Important: suggestion only. This check is indicative, based on public rules, and is not legal or tax advice. Confirm with your accountant or the official NTAK site.
What problem does it solve?
Many think NTAK means instant daily reporting for everyone, others think it doesn't apply to them at all. Both can be wrong – and a missed registration or report can mean a fine.
How does it help?
Based on three questions we show what likely applies: registration only, or registration plus daily reporting – with the next steps.
What should it contain?
- Registration: every hospitality venue, regardless of revenue, before opening
- Daily reporting: if last closed year's net hospitality revenue exceeded 12M HUF
- Mandatory above 100M HUF since July 2023, 12–100M HUF since early 2024
- New business: with no closed year, usually registration only in year one
- Usually not hospitality: public catering, staff canteens, plain shops
- NTAK does not replace the NAV online cash register – they're separate
💡 Tip: in the OneMin restaurant system this isn't done on paper – stock, waste and POS data are kept in one place automatically.
How to use it
- 1Choose your venue type.
- 2Enter the start year and last year's net hospitality revenue.
- 3Read the suggestion – and confirm with your accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Who must register in NTAK?
Every hospitality venue (restaurant, café, buffet, bar, pastry shop, food truck), regardless of revenue, before opening.
Who must report to NTAK daily?
Venues whose previous closed year's net hospitality revenue exceeded 12M HUF. Below that, registration is enough.
What about a brand-new business?
With no closed year, usually only registration applies in year one. If revenue goes above 12M HUF, daily reporting follows next year – so pick an NTAK-ready POS from the start.
Is this check an official ruling?
No. It's an indicative suggestion based on public rules. Confirm your obligations with your accountant or official NTAK guidance, as rules may change.
